Help Your Guy Feel And Look As Good As You

Guys can sometimes come across as being really care-free and happy with their lot. But like us girls, they have the same insecurities and worries about their bodies as we do. And while we’re worried about cellulite and wrinkles, they might be concerned about their tummies and their hairline. Aging affects all men and all women, and it can cause you to lose your confidence. Help your guy feel happy in the skin he’s in again with these man-friendly tips:

Discreet
Not every guy wants to be told that the love of their life has noticed a few changes. Be sympathetic while being as discreet as possible. You don’t need to lead by example, but you can offer to leave out your moisturiser for him, or ask him to come with you to the gym.

Working Out
Some couples love working out together. If you think you can enjoy some quality time together in this way, then why not give it a go? Lots of guys like the idea of building up some muscle strength. It feels good to be strong, after all. And a good frame carries fashion well! Don’t push him into wearing, or not wearing, certain types of workout gear. As you know, the more comfortable you are, the harder you’ll work.

Concentrate on ab work if your fella is a little self-conscious about his midriff. Why not ask him for some help toning your arms? You can both spin or jog side by side. Perhaps you like street running? Don’t be afraid to mix it up and have a go at the things he likes to do. The most important thing is to have fun together.

Hair
Most guys lose some of their hair as they move through their twenties and thirties. Women also suffer from thinning hair, but it doesn’t tend to change the hairline quite as drastically. Women can wear their hair in different styles to give the illusion of thicker locks. Guys, however, might not be able to hide it at all. If your fella is getting down about his hair, treat him to a salon appointment. This will help bring the hair back into good condition, and he can get great advice on styles to get the best from his hair.

Aside from regular conditioning and careful diet, there are tablets and treatments that can help. Something like Finasteride tablets for hair loss might be worth investigating. These are available from doctors, but your other half can order them online if he’s particularly shy. Hair loss can be especially damaging to self-confidence, so suggest some counselling if he’s getting down.

Skin Care
Skin care for men has become a big industry. There are now hundreds of products designed for guys that will help freshen the skin and reduce the appearance of wrinkles. Of course, guys just look all the more distinguished for their lines! Still, if your chap isn’t too happy to see the proof of his age in the mirror, why not invest in a small gift pack to get him started?

Shower gels are a good start. There are several available now with added moisture balance for the whole body. After-shave moisturizing balm creme is designed to soothe and calm inflamed skin. It will also restore the softness and moisture balance. Try changing from soap to more skin-friendly creams and gels too.

Diet
Let’s face it, we can all get into bad habits. If you tend to cook together and eat together a lot, why not explore some healthier recipes? Change meats for tofu or choose leaner options like chicken. Consider steaming your vegetables so they retain more of the nutritional value and flavor. Reduce the use of fats and cheese and see how he gets on.

You can also add new things to your diets like nuts and pulses. These can be very filling so they’re a great swap for unhealthy snacks or fries. It is very common to put on weight as we get older. Finding fun ways to keep it off or lose a little doesn’t have to be hard. Always have fresh fruit on the table. What other healthy swaps can you both enjoy?

Fashion
If you haven’t been clothes shopping with your man for a while, why not suggest an afternoon at the mall? You don’t have to completely change his style for him to feel happier about his look. Sometimes, suggesting one or two things he wouldn’t ordinarily go for can give him some inspiration for his own fashion choices. How do you like to boost your guy’s confidence?
